ACTIA can not be held responsible for failures occurring when using such software. However, to help you, please find below some tips for an easier use.

 

... HOW CAN I USE OEM EURO V SOFTWARE ?

You must use a vehicle interface using the Passthru protocol (J2534 or J2534-1 or J2534-2), which is the case when using Multi-Diag interface, use a web browser (Netscape, Internet explorer, …) and be connected to internet permanently (wire or wifi) on your diagnostic equipment.

Your PC must be under Windows XP, Vista or Seven.

... DO I SIMPLY PLUG THE VEHICLE INTERFACE AND IT WILL WORK WITH ANY CAR MANUFACTURER ?

In theory, the answer is yes. In practice, you will probably make at least one of the following actions :

  • Connect a special cable that is required for some vehicles of the car manufacturer if you want to reflash a vehicle,
  • Download a package containing the drivers for the car maker software (example : Erwin Pack for the VAG group applications).

panneau_attentionNew OSS module needs a very powerful PC (duo core, 2 Gb RAM) and a high speed internet connection (at least 10 Mb). Pay attention that checking all ECUs of a BMW need somewhere around 50 minutes with this new solution.

The specific Starter kit BMW cable is not needed.

panneau_attentionThe bluetooth communication mode is not homologated by BMW at the moment. Use the USB mode.

New OSS module needs a very powerful PC (duo core, 2 Gb RAM) and a high speed internet connection (at least 10 Mb). Pay attention that checking all ECUs of a BMW need somewhere around 50 minutes with this new solution.
